For the last month I have been trying to decide between two photography vendors. The first (who I won't name) has consistantly awesome pictures. My hesitance with booking them was their pricing. Not just that they are expensive, but they don't have set packages. Albums 'start' at prices, and that made us nervous, since who knows how high the price would climb to in the end, and FH and I are not gazillionaires. I kept going back and forth as to whether we should just go for it regardless of this stress or not. Recently I noticed the first vendor's prices are different online than they are in the booklet they gave us when we met with them (a month ago). I called to ask if they are still honoring the prices in the booklet. The photographer explained, 'When we met with you, we had just raised the prices, but we decided to keep the original price for you. Now a lot more time has passed, so the prices are raised'. This really turned me off. No matter how good they are, I'm not digging it. So I think they made the final decision for me. What do you think of this?

Re: Photography Question
I had that same problem with the first vendor I booked. They told me they raised the prices and that the online price was an old one and they were changing it. I was hmmm okay whatever. I just looked a few weeks later and saw the price was the same online. This was back in Jan. I saw their first ad. There were nothing but issues since I booked them. Now I am not booked and waiting patiently for my deposit which he said he would refund. I am really curious if it was the same vendor.

Re: Photography Question
According to what u have said, there are some issues happening with them already, what makes it worst is that those issues are about prices (something that concern every bride and groom). My advise would be check other photographers, there are many very good ones out there with very good prices, so def take some time to shop around before making any decision.

Thank you for your suggestion. I actually have put a lot of time into researching photographers, and was very drawn to their work over others. Ultimately though, I'm not happy with their service not honoring the original price. I don't think THAT much time has passed. I've decided on another photographer whose work I like very much as well, but in a different way.
