It depends on what your package includes. I've been quoted anywhere from 2k to 7k.

I'm paying about 2k for photog/assistant, digital files, 3 dvd copies, and seven hours - i think for 10 hours it would bump up to around 2500/2650 or so. We could have saved money by having the dvds sent elsewhere to avoid ny taxes but we didn't even care at that point, we loved this guy and his work so much

Did they mention about how many photographs you would get with the package?
I am paying 3k plus tax for all-day event coverage, two photogs, 12x12 leather album w/ 80 images, 1500 proofs with DVD and all rights to pictures, 100 4x6 thank you cards containing 4-6 images, engagement session.
