How many photogs? 2?

It seems ok to me with the video. I am assuming it includes an e-photo shoot?

I am paying $3700 without video, so I would think that $5000 is about right

We paid about half that for photo & videography, but we only got one album, not parent albums, and no enlargements included. We were given all our photos in high res on DVD and the rights to reproduce, so I just bought enlargements on our own and I made the parent albums myself. The ones for my ILs and my mom were about $35 each (not cardstock quality paper, but nice still) and the album for my dad cost me $65 and it is card stock, really good quality paper. But it did take me a lot of time and energy to create the albums myself.

Our video was a separate person and we just got a very basic edited video on DVD (we got 6 copies) -- no slideshow or anything (although he videoed the pictures we had displayed at the wedding in a digi frame and kinda did make a slide show from them). But my favorite thing about the DVD is that he made it so it's super easy to skip around and watch exactly the part you'd want to. I really love it.

We got epics, 2 photogs, and ended up with almost 1400 photos from our day. I was extremely pleased!

If you want to have your photographer create all the enlargements and albums for you, then I think you're going with a good deal. For me, we wanted to save some money, which is why we chose to go with our photographer. He was fabulously creative and wonderful to work with and would've done all the extras for us, but we didn't need him to.

At first I was thinking it's high, then I noticed that's also for video. That's actually a pretty good price then

for 5k...you should be getting 2 photographers

also, you didnt mention proofs- are you getting all your proofs? on a dvd? or printed?
i notice many photogs only print a certain number of proofs but give you all of them on dvd

i would get pricing from 1 or 2 other comparable photogs

and go back and haggle if you really like them

everythinggggggggg is negotiable!
