Photography Quotes..

I met with one photographer this weekend, and I need to make more appointments to see a few others we're interested in. But after I got the list of prices from this weekend, I started realizing I'm not sure what is average prices for all these services. Me and FH are paying for the wedding ourselves so keeping the cost down is an issue.

So I was wondering if you could share your photography quotes and what it includes! Thanks ladies!

Definitely check out Lighthouse. They had reasonable packages starting at 2K and up. For under 3K you can get an album, thank you cards, and engagement shoot, and parent albums.

I think it all depends on what you want. Photos were really important to us and we love the photo journalistic look, more artistic photos. We paid about $5,500 with tax. Honestly though i feel like its totally worth it because photos are the part of the wedding that last forever....

It really depends on what you're looking for. In this economy, most vendors are willing to customize packages to fit what you want vs what you can afford. Check out Fade to Black, we are using them for photo and the owner, Gil, is very accommodating!

patken has great pricing and has been great thus far. lighthouse was the most affordable we met w/ but we also got less (only 1 photog, albums are a la carte). it all really depends on what you're looking for!

eta - thomas paul was gr8 when we met w/ him, too, and was totally willing to work w/ our budget

Check out White Pear Photography. Liz is the owner/photographer and so easy to work with! After 5 minutes, she knew exactly what I was looking for. Her work is stunning and very reasonably priced. She offers packages or you can customize what you're looking for.

Check out Benchwerk. I feel like we are getting so much with our package for a really reasonable price. They also offer custom packages, so they can help you create something that will fit into your budget. HTH!

I got a great deal with Patken, but I had also spoken to Gina Esposito and Thomas Paul before I booked with Patken. Both Gina and Thomas were willing to offer packages that worked within my budget. Both have packages available that do not include you paying up front for your wedding albums, which I thought was a huge help because money is kinda tight before the wedding and generally a little better afterwards because you have your gift money to work with. I would definitely reach out to them both, they were both very responsive and helpful and do great work!
