I'm still searching for a photographer. I've met with ADA, North Island, Marco and Patken. I'm leaning toward going with Patken, and using Steve. Has anybody used them and can you give me your recommendation? thanks

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
We used Frank from Patken. We were very happy. All the photos came out great except for the first few closeups at my mom's house. He used an ugly blue backdrop and I looked old in those photos. Make sure they don't take out a blue backdrop for any of your house photos and you should be fine.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
that was the one thing i didn't like, the potraites they took with the background screens, he said we could ask that they not use them, which is what I'm going to do if I use them. thanks for tip.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
Your wedding day is NOT a Sears Studio and those backdrops look fake and awful. A good photographer can find a nice corner, or spot in your home or bridal area to take great photos.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
Thanks Chip!
Vinny was our photographer. We originally had Nick but were unhappy with our engagement photos so we switched to Vinny (who we originally wanted but was unavailable then).
I didn't like taking the blue screen photos either, though I ended up with some beautiful shots from those (I like the sepia/B&W ones best from the 'blue screen' shots)
Have you looked at Imagine? I LOVE their work. I probably would have booked them if I had seen them before my wedding.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
when we were in the studio the albums we saw with the blue backdrops looked nice.
I didnt think they were bad at all.

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
My friend used Patken and her pictures came out blurry. I chose Perceptions. Anthony is an amazing photographer with a wonderful personality. They are located in Massapequa and have a website. Good luck!

Re: PHOTOGRAPHY still looking
Could someone please post a photo with a backdrop in it?? I never noticed any of these backdrops before it must really be insignificant, why are they used anyway???
