Photography stress

So, I was up last night and couldnt sleep. Im starting to freak myself out. I wish you girls could slap me out of it. Did any of you start over -analyzing EVERYTHING??

Here's what happened to me last night. I'm using Patken. Im paying $3000 for my pics but Im NOT having a bridal party. Was this stupid of me? I mean, will they be able to take enough pics without a bridal party???? I dont want any of the traditional wedding stuff. No throwing the bo-k or garter belt thing. I just feel like it was a waste of money.....
I want to cry right now and I think Im at the early stages of a break down.

Don't be so silly! Just relax - there are PLENTY of other shots than those 'bridal group' shots. Did you get albums with that? How many photographers, reprints, parent albums? I am sure the number is justified.

I love Patken's work. They seem very creative. You'll probably get a LOT for that price that you might not get from a more traditional photographer --who might even charge more!

They seem to even take pictures of your guests, which I really wanted, but did not get.

It sounds to me like you made a good decision. Try not to fret!

Re: Photography stress

you should in no way base your photography decisison on having a BP...this day is about you and your FH and you are going to want the best pics you can get of your selves, your ceremony, your family and your reception...our BP pics were maybe 1/10th if even of our overall day...

you made a good decision...don't second guess everything, it will do nothing but drive you crazy!!!!

The wedding is about you, your FH, and your families---who cares if you are having a bridal party or not?!? The photographer will have PLENTY of photo ops---stop analyzing!!!

Personally, I think you are smart! No additional stress with a BP! Good for you! As for the pics, really, how many are you REALLY going to put in your album if you had a BP? Maybe 3 or 4? the rest that you are going to want is going to be of you, your husband and some family shots. You'll have plenty of pics to choose from. Don't worry about that!

I did not have a bridal party, a church ceremony, were the only ones introduced at the reception, didn't do bouquet or garter toss, and I still received over 1800 proofs! Don't worry about it. (Although, I did have two photographers...) Just maybe ask for a lot more photojournalistic-styled photos and that will increase the amount of your proofs.

Everything will look beautiful when you get your pics back! Just think of all the extra poses and locations you can go to with just you and your FH!!! It will be great!!!

I wouldn't stress out about this. You are using Patken and you will have beautiful pics with or without a bp. Besides, most of the albums I have seen from my friends have only included about 3 pics at most of the bridal party in them. You and your FH are the main focus on this day. Patken also does amazing work so I am sure you will be fine. Don't second guess yourself or over analyze.

It's very normal to overanalyze evrything. I think we all get to a point where we're freaking out and then we snap out of it.
You'll do just fine with that amount.

i dont think its a waste of money at all...your pictures are going to tell the story of your wedding day with or without a posed series of shots with your bridal party or lack there of....i think money on pictures is well spent....just think about it at the end of the night when everythiNG else is cleaned up and swept away...the only thing your goinG to have is your piCtures and your new dh
