photog/video suggestions... Help!!

Hi ladies,

Ok it's time for FH & I to buckle down and book photographer and video for the big day.... Can anyone suggest great photographer & videographer that won't break the bank?

Also, anything else we should know for when we make the appointment? Important questions to ask, what to negotiate....

Maybe give us a price range so that we can help?

I would ask them to see an album of a full album they have done for only one wedding, because they can always throw together all the good pictures from soo many different weddings!
Also maybe ask if you get e-pics included, if you already havent taken them.

about $5-$6K (final cost) -- not sure because i don't know what the going rate is for a photog or videog...

hahha I didnt read the above I just replyed. I actually emailed them and they replyed back so quickly. I love them, love them. I will visit them with FH and if we really love them then we will book and we can always find video elsewhere you know. THey quoted me prices and they werent that bad, im sooo excitied. YOu know what now that I have seen some photographers I think I like SIB style, its so me and FH, now I know and they are available for my date

Yeah AG also doesnt have videography but like you said we'll just find it elsewhere, it really wasn't a problem for us.

I am using Duet for Photography. they are very good. They also have video but I am going with a different company. The videographer I am using is Classic Video enterprises in West Babylon. It is a husband/ wife team. They are amazing. My sisters and brother used them over the past 15 years and their work just keeps getting better. Btw. pics and video I am paying around $5600-5700.

$1975 Video w/ added extras
$ 3700 for pictures

The videographer also makes a photo album out of random pics he gets w/ his video camera.

yeah AG and SIB are my favorites, their pictures are amazing

one piece of advice
good looking people look good in pics
when you are looking at albums and artists' work, make sure youre looking at the product and not the people

not to sound mean, but they always put the best looking people in their samples and people focus on that instead of the actual photography

it is so true though. I did pay alot of attention to scenery, the lighting and their style but yes photographers do that

then you see this gorgeous couple and youre like 'WOW' but I DONT LOOK LIKE THAT!!! LOL

LOL I have noticed this. In fact, I was reading the boards one day and one of the girls posted that she was upset because the photographer didn't use any of her pictures around his studio or on his website and she thought it meant that her and her DH were an ugly couple, lol.
