this is per PeteNChris' request . . . We had a great time in the park. There were several different 'locations' and we were able to do all our photos in about an hour.

Gerry Park was our first choice for our wedding pictures, but I was concerned about getting duck poo all over my shoes and the bottom of my dress!!! Did you find this to be a problem??

To answer your questions . . .

I was concerned about the duck poo too (I even thought about sending the groomsmen out with pooper-scoopers). But for us the poop turned out not to be a problem -- we never really walked on the grass b/c it was a really rainy week and my photographer directed us to all sorts of spots near the grass, but not on the grass.

The fee for Gerry Park is $75 if you don't live in the Town of North Hempstead. The GWM can give you all the forms (if you are using them) or else contact the Town directly:

You can pay by check or give them your credit card # (and expiration date). Make check payable to 'Town of North Hempstead'.

It's not that far. Maybe 10-15 minutes. If you take Jericho Tpke to Roslyn Rd, make a left on Roslyn Rd and take that all the way into Roslyn - the park is on the right, just before you get to the clock tower in the old part of Roslyn.
