yep, much lighter than our floors, which are oak. I think you can go with dark furniture. the contrast will look great!

If you do a search on Kathy116, she has dark wood furniture and light colored floors and her house looks great. The contrast works very well.

I don't know if these pics of the room downstairs help.....I have dark side tables which you really can't see and also have dark accessories in the wall unit.

I really love darker furniture on lighter floors - its a beautiful contrast.

I have light floors like yours and dark (cherry wood) furniture in our dining room. IMO. It looks really nice together..

I don't have pics though.

I have light floors and dark furniture.

My family room - the furniture is espresso ( a real early picture) -



My living room and dining room are a dark cherry furniture (the floor is lighter in person - same as picture above - the light in the room makes it look darker in pictures) -



This shows the floor better for the living room and dining room

My dining room and bedroom furniture is more of a contrast with the floors than my living room furniture is...
