I have an older version of photoshop, but was wondering if anyone knows how to 'fade' an image? I want to print a pic on vellum, but don't want it so pigmented, any idea on how to do this, TIA ladies

Simple. Bring up your layers pallet. You should have one layer and it might have the locked symbol. SO double click on it and unlock it. Then add another layer and put it below the image layer. Fill this to white. Select your image and go to opacity and reduce as needed.
