Photoshop for beginners?

Photoshop for beginners?

FH bought me photoshop!!!!!!

I'm trying to learn how to use it but it's a big step up from Microsoft Paint.

Is it pretty straightforward once you read the entire manual or should I buy a 'photoshop for dummies' kind of book? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Photoshop for beginners?

I think the best way to learn is to play around with it. Start with a small project, you'll remember more if you're actually doing it. I'm not much of a reader, if you are, you might consider buying the book. There are also online help if you run a search.
