photoshop question

i'm thinking of getting photoshop for christmas... a gift for myself.

i know that there are cool things to do with photoshop.

those of you who have it, is it really worth the money, or is there something else on the market that i should look into??

Re: photoshop question

I recommend it. Theres different types of photoshop obviously. CS2 is very good but its also alot harder than the other ones. That one there is alot of tutorials you would have to read and learning to do. I would pick one of the latest versions of photoshop and you will also have animation wizard to do things with.

When you go to buy it, let them know like what type of things you're looking to do and how you want to use photoshop and they can recommend which photoshop is best for you.

Get a book on the version you are getting (CS2) most likely and read up on it. Usually the best reference guides on learning any design programs are the visual quickstart guides by peachpit press. Thats what they give out as textbooks in classrooms.

I use it alot. Greatest way to fix up pictures you think are absolutely useless into good ones!
