Photoshop question

I want to place a ghosted image behind the copy of our std note cards. I just don’t know how to do this. I converted the color of the image into duotone. I just can’t figure out how to give it that ghosted look.
Anybody know?
Thanks!

Re: Photoshop question

put the image you want ghosted on a separate layer, add an adjustment layer on top and play with the brightness/contrast until you get the desired effect

Not sure what you mean by ghosted but I suggest putting the image you want on a seperate layer and then adjusting the transparency of that layer until you have the desired effect.

If you want something more etheral looking, you can take the image and apply a 'diffuse' filter to it to make it 'glow'..and then adjusting the transparency.

NYCMeghan what you told me to do worked! THANKS!!!
Stef My designers always ghost an image behind the copy in the brochures I work on at work. Its an image that looks ghosty like behind copy. Where you can see the image clearly enough and see the copy as well.
