Photos/Video/DJ Advice

Hi ladiess.. FH and I are beginning to visit photographers and DJs just to get quotes and compare. I would like to have both booked by Christmas.

We haven't sat down with any DJs so far but I would like to meet with Jericho Terrace's recommended DJs first which are MRG, Starlight Express, and BodyRock. I would also like to meet with Satisfaction Guaranteed who did my cousins wedding and were awesome. Does anyone have pricing info on any of the above or any other recommendations for us? I would like to spend nomore than 3000 on DJ.

For photos we met with Patken and Cassarino. We liked Cassarino better bc they seemed more personable than Patken. I was really turned off that the lady kept walking out of the room after putting on a sample video or giving us an album. We spent most of the meeting without her in the room! Both are pretty pricey though! Any photo/video ideas? Would like to spend nomore than 5000-5500 on both..maybe less?/

I would really appreciate somee advice since we will be making appointments soon and I want to narrow down since we live in Brooklyn its hard to get out to LI and can only see a couple each timee.

Try Wiliam Chang. He's based out of Brooklyn and his website is william-chang.com or williamchangblog.com. He did our day after photos and they were FANTASTIC.

We are using Satisfaction Guaranteed. They did my cousins wedding and gave us some kind of discount because of it!!!!

For photos I highly recommend Sue Barr. She even came to my apartment to meet with my fiance and I! I booked with her the next week. Her albums were a little more than most, but they were so well done-unlike anything we have seen. Her prices start around $3,500. She does family/baby and advertising as well.

I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Brett at After Hours for DJ and Mike at Infinite Video for video. Both of them really blew the rest of the competition out of the water.

we actually just booked with DUET on Saturday. we booked on the spot, they were that amazing! photography is all about the style you like, so whats good for one couple may not be for another.
