I am excited to go to my photo/video appt today. I saw the work online and its really good and the prices are amazing. The only thing is they aren't very popular and I can't find any reviews on them. The other photographer I was looking at can't match the price and offer all that the first photographer is offering. I think they are both equally good but I am nervous since the first has no reviews anywhere and they located in manhatten. If I reallly love their work should i book even though they aren't well known and reviewed?

good luck today! Maybe they aren't viewed on here because of their manhattan location? someone at work told me to call the better business buerau to find out if there is anything negative about some vendors... i didn't but it might be something to consider if you love their work, they have been around a long time, and they have good prices then go with it!

Ask to see an album from a complete wedding - not just a 'best of the best'.... it will give you a better feeling about their overall work. Also, if it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to ask them for references... Be honest and say you haven't seen too many reviews about them. Definitely agree about the BBB - can't hurt to investigate a little.

i would definately ask to see complete work and don't forget. most of the wedding here are in Long Island so other vendors will not get reviewed here. that doesn't mean they aren't good vendors. have you tried searching them online to see what comes up.

I'd def check Better Busoiness Bureau online if you can't find any reviews.

I stopped going by what has reviews on here. Sometimes there are still amazing vendors that aren't. My photo/video is barily mentioned here and i loved there work and the price is what we needed!

Some of the best pics ive seen have been from photogs ive never heard of. I think we LIW brides often book places through word of mouth. Doesnt mean others arent great. I booked patken for my 1st wedding in 95 and no one i knew uses them. Look at them now.
