Phyliis is awesome!!!

Ordered my dress on Saturday!!! Can't believe the great price she gave me! With caps on alterations!!! Saving me about 450 on the dress, plus the difference in alteration caps is another 175 saved!!

She's so knowledgable! I thought I would need a hollow to hem and she actually talked me out of it!! Saving me money!
I live in manhattan, but FH lives in queens and his mom drove me out to Phyllis...she was the best price...even though netbride.com was the basically the same price, I would have to measure my self and then try to find someone for alterations...

They order the dress for you with the exact measurement on the bottom (so you try on the dress with the shoes you wear and they order the dress to your exact measurement) to avoid you having to pay for alterations./hems.

My wedding was 6 months from Saturday when i was there... they made me make an appointment asap to get my dress in there have her look at it and start the process., my bm's dont have to start goign there till late feb early march...
So if your weddings are before mine get there quick!

yikes! my gown isn't even in yet from my bridal shop! i'm hoping she won't be super busy cause i'm marrying in feb. but we'll see!

Phyllis is GREAT! I ordered my dress from her and her prices were the best around! Besides the price, she is so great to work with!!! I also ordered my BM's dresses from her, and my mom got her dress from her as well. Her prices were too good not to!

I am getting married Nov. 25 and my first dress fitting was Oct. 12, so I think you will be ok. I am sure it is nice to go as early as you can, but I was still losing weight and I was not going to have her alter the dress and then have to re-do it.

Im using her and my cousin did too.....she had a horrible exp w her! So after all her alts she went and had to REDO them all! All her girls pulled out and got their Alts else where! Im hoping all goes well for me and my girls!!

my maggie i got 4 months after the order went through.
Seems like Eves and weekends is when shes the busiest so id say do all fittings Mon-Fri before 4! Thats what im gonna do just to play it safe!!!

hey i had a question...after hearing so much about this place....i am curious....do you have to know what dress u want in order to try it on there ...or you can go and try on more than one dress?
sorry if this is a stupid question i just dont know if its like all the other bridal shops since it is so much cheaper .

You really can't try on dresses there usually...it's more like you know what you want and they order it for you. But it doesn't hurt to ask- you never know which ones they might have there. But I would say you should shop around first, then get a price from them- they'll always beat the price!

her selection of gowns (bride and bridesmaid) is getting bigger it looks like every time i go there.. she has a decent selection id go there after going to other stores though just in case you want a huge selection of choices
