How are her rates for alterations. I called her about a BM dress that I need to alter for a friends wedding coming up and she said she would need to see the dress first and then would give me a rate. I'm not that close to her and time is getting short. Should I just suck it up and make an appt. and whatever she says it is I pay or should I try and bring the dress down first?

She did this for me too with my wedding gown. Most girls have posted that their BM dressed were under $60 for alterations there.

i just saw her the other day and she is giving my girls a cap of $55 for their alterations, i believe. but i don't know if she gives a different rate for someone who didn't order their dress thru them.

I went last night, and I didn't have a dress that I bought from Phyllis. I had to have the top taken in, the waist taken in and some beadword done. She is charging me $55 for alterations. If I need the hem done, which I probably won't, it will be another $10. Hope that helps!
oh, and if any of you girls were there, and saw a girl in a VERY BRIGHT red dress...that was me...miserable...
