OMG no contest onthat one....UPLIGHTING all the way!!!!!!!!!

that's like one of my MUST HAVE elements...

I'm already planning all of the wedding anyway, and i have 8 BMs, my mother, my Godmother, a planner at my RH, and the maitre'd that my mom is having a special meeting with the week of the wedding to do a full run down....

uplighting definitely wins for me!! :)

if i'm going to spend money, i'd rather it be something that everyone sees like uplighting ... this will be in all pictures too and pics are SOOO important!

i think a DOC is def helpful but you can prob handle things that may come up.

how about getting a half-day coordinator instead and gettign the uplighting too ... best of both worlds

I chose the uplighting over the DOC for us. I have 7BMs, a Matre D and a BA at the RH to cover things. I would love a DOC, but uplighting really creates the atmosphere I want.

uplighting. most likely you will have a bridal attendant who will help. also you can have one of your bridesmaids help out too!

I think if you're trying to achieve a 'look' then you should go for uplighting because it changes the whole appearance of the room! If I wasn't going for a specific look, or if the colors of the room were similar to my colors, I'd pick DOC!
