Picked a Dress!

Went to Mark Ingram, tried on some dresses and found the ONE.

BUT I'm not buying it. Getting it made out of the country. Same exact fabric. My $4000 dress is going to cost me - GET THIS - $400 including all accesories (veil, ring pillows, etc.) I'm so excited and normally I wouldn't have said anything until it was all done because I don't want to jinx myself BUT I'M SOOOO EXCITED that I had to share. YEEAAAHHH!

In the Philippines. The craftmanship is amazing. I'm going there to vacation in June (introduce FI to family). Meeting with two designer / dress makers. Haven't chosen which - won't until I see they're product but they're supposed to be the best. Then they're going to make a dummy dress in muslin that they'll ship back and forth to me until November when they'll actually cut the dress.

My bridesmaid dresses are floor length, shantung silk and only $40 each. Getting my invitations printed there too. Thank goodness the dollar is still strong there!

Absolutely stunning! I love the style. I can't believe you're getting it for such a steal. And... $40 for the BM dresses? Man. Maybe I should plan a trip there too.

yes, the dollar is very strong there...

i got my flowergirl dresses made in the philippine out of silk organza and they ended up costing $40-50. The same dresses would cost upwards of $200 here.

i would've gotten my dress and bm dresses too but i had already fallen in love with some here.
