Picked up my engagement shots....(vent)

OH MY GOD - THEY ARE HORRIFIC

I can't even post them b/c they are so bad....I am so upset and p.o'd

We rescheduled due to weather and decided just to do them in the studio - the stupid photographer got all the light switches in the pics, we're making faces, he took the pics at the worst angles.....Stevie Wonder could have taken better shots.

The pics were supposed to go to his parents and mine for Christmas - what do I do?

I am so sorry to hear that! How annoying!

Can you maybe go to Sear's and pics taken..I think they would be done in time for christmas?

Who is your photographer? That is terrible that you are so unhappy. I would say something and try to redo them and just think of other gifts for christmas and if you redo them give them to the parents at another time. What did your photographer say about the photos?

These came with the package and they were giving us an 8x10 for free.

I can't afford to spend any extra money and I had to practically beg him to take the shots.

Do I call and complain and see what they do? Should I request that the photographer I booked redo the shots?

HELP!

Lori, I saw your post to Christy and see you are getting married at the same place I did. Is it one of their house photographers?

Cindy: no it is not one of their recommended photographers - I really wanted B rett M atthews but he was soooo expensive.

The photographer who took them wasn't in the studio today - I may hurt him when I see him. The woman who gave them to me was like OH MY GOD, they came out so good. I had to leave b/c I was going to cry/or hit her

My alternative is to complain and see that the photographer I booked will take them or my girlfriend is really into photography and ask her to do it.

Lori. I would say something. It cant hurt! We took a bunch of pictures for our engagement and some I liked and some I didnt. Did you get to look at all of them and choose the ones you wanted. That is what we did. There was about 30 and we viewed them before we ordered a few.

I would def say something...what's the worst they can say? I would make it known you are NOT happy with the shots.

They only shot a roll of 12 and gave me the proofs. They said to call them Saturday and let them know what I wanted and they'd have them in a week.

I may just call on Saturday and talk to the woman and just tell her that my fiance and I were really disappointed with the pics and we will not be taking any of them and see what they do.

Not to mention that I work for a cosmetic company and gave them a HUGE bag of goodies which I didn't have to do. I'm hoping she remembers that when I call.

I would go to the owner/manager & show them the pics. Tell them all your complaints. And ask them what they are going to do about it! But I wouldn't accept that at all. Good Luck! PLEASE post the results!

You have to say something. Are these people nuts that they think the pics are great, when obviously they are not.
Is this photographer going to take you wedding pics?
What if the same thing happens?

I would demand that he retake them!!! I had a similar experience with my engagement photos, they were awful!! But, the photographer had me believing they basically they were just practice shots for him to check out light and angles...that is until I came here and saw other peoples pics. Please confront him before its too late. I also was not happy with my wedding photos and I wish I had spoken up before. Engagement shots you can re-do, wedding pics you can not. Let him know that you will not stand for poor quality pics.

I could not agree more ladies! That's horrible! I would ask them to reshoot the pictures and INSIST that the photographer on the engagement shoot does not shoot your wedding! I am sure the photog is an employee of the company and you should voice your complaints!

If this is the same photographer that is going to take your wedding pics I would do something FAST You want to make sure your wedding pics are perfect. So if you hate this guys work at least you can get someone else! Good Luck

The photographer who shot the engagement pics is not the photographer I have for my wedding day....thank god.

I am going to call on Saturday when they open and speak to them. I am also going to insist that we redo them and that the photographer that is shooting my wedding take the pics.

I would say something. You hired them and part of your packeage is so you have engagement shots. I have quite a few around my house and people are always commenting on them. As far as i am concerned, after all the planning is said and done, those engagement pictures are part of my planning and my wedding. That is something that you would like to have. Jennbaby: I'm using ADA Studio. Big John will be shooting my wedding. Some guy Anthony took the shots.

I have seen their work and its excellent and a great price which is why I am so shocked.

I am going to insist they retake them and I want my photographer to take them.

I am also going to take them outside.....this way there will be no light switches in the background
