you can give them another role that is important to you (the typical example is a reading during the ceremony).

None :-/ All of his little cousins are too old to be ring bearers and there are no girls (literally, none)

you can pick who you want and there doesnt have to be any girls form his side ... isnt he picking all the guys or no ... also make sure you know for sure who you want in it before you ask them ...
