I always wanted plain white china but I found a lenox set I am lovin! I wanted to pick it now because everybody wants to start buying it for chirstmas, my birthday etc. Anyway it's from Simply fine Lenox for more modern brides, it's called 'Chirp'
Anybody else pick their china? I was so excited!

Re: Picking China?
ooh post a pic! im not familiar with that design.
we weren't sure if we wanted china but fell in love with lenox venetian lace (it's plain white with a lace pattern on the edges). even DH loves it and thinks its beautiful. we've used it a few times before the wedding but i want to try to have dinner on it on the 17th each month

Re: Picking China?
we have my grandparents china, which happens to look a lot like lenox's opal innocence, so we dont plan on getting any more.

Re: Picking China?
We will register for china...not sure what style though. We are registering for everyday dishes for ourselves and for informal dinner parties...but for the holidays (yea...pathetic...I am already planning what Holidays I am hosting once we get a house...) I would like to have some nice china to serve on...

My mother made started a hope chest for me back in high school that includes china. So I'm all set thankfully. Would much rather register for guitar hero

Re: Picking China?
i really dont know if i am going to register for fine china. i will probably never use it since i am not the cooking/entertaining type, so i would rather have people buy me other things i need off my registry..
I am doing casual and formal china. I want it all!!! haha!

I am taking my mother's. She NEVER used it, not even once so I figure it's one less decision that I will have to figure out.

I've seen that one!! I'm considering it as well. It's very simple and it's not something that will go out of style.

DH laughed at me because I was obsessed with getting modern white square plates (and matching serving pieces) like you'd see at a trendy bistro -- we mixed and matched pieces from Macy's and BBB and now we have a set I love (dinner plates, salad plates, appetizer plates, bowls, serving pieces, etc) we also have a few colored pieces we can mix in if we want. our formal china is more traditional

It has birds and turqoise on it? I think that is so pretty.
I am not getting a house so I feel like China would be a waste.
Definately register now for it that way people can get it for you for occasions other than your shower.
