Are any of you guys picking up your wedding gown? Or are you leaving it at the salon?
My dress came in already and my mom is freaking out that she doesn't want to leave the dress there once its paid for in full. My opinion is that if we leave it there and something happens its there responsibility versus us taking it home and then something happens, we're **** out of luck.

leave it there. if you bring it home and something happens, you're responsible.

My bridal salon is storing my gown for free. My gown came in the beginning of this month and my wedding is not till next September...my gown will stay there till its time..

My gown is also staying at the store till a few weeks before the wedding.

If I can, I'd prefer to leave it at the salon. It really wouldn't matter too much if I had to take it home since I can leave it at my mom's house with no chance in hell of FH seeing it but I just don't like to idea of it just hanging there and god forbid collecting dust until my first fitting. I'd prefer in the hands of professionals.
Although you know if it was home at my mom's house I would be there every single weekend after work playing dress up LOL

I picked up my dress... Its packed away in a garment bag! They literally ran out of room to store anymore gowns they said they have never had so many wedding gowns in their stores like they do now haha! Guess these next few years are popular for weddings! I actually like the idea that my dress is safe and sound at my house

this is a good question.. I always thought I would leav it but a bride on here was saying that she went to see her dress when they called to tell her it was in.. When she got there, the gown was gone. They gave it to another bride who was getting married this year .If I remember correctly. Does anyone remember this?
Now Im not sure If I want to leave my dress or not

I think both ideas scare me a little. Things could go wrong either way. I will prob leave it at the salon until closer to the wedding.

It kinda of bothers me leaving the gown there but...i'd really hate to lug it back and forth for fittings so i'm just going to leave it there until my fittings in November!

My dress shop is storing my gown for me..it came in a little less than a year in advance. I'd rather it stay there..I do not have the room & I don't want FH to see it before the big day

Mine came in and I have them storing it there but y friend's came in and she took hers home. I think it depends on where you get it from, or your personal preference.
