Did you try on your dress when you went to pick it up? I'm picking mine up tomorrow, and I don't know if I'm supposed to try it on.
On the one hand, it'd be nice to put it on one more time. On the other hand, it'll be all pressed and steamed and perfect and I don't want to ruin it.
Help!

Re: Picking up your dress question
Well if they made alterations I would want to try it on just to make sure it fits.

Hey Deb.
Im poretty sure they give it to you all wrapped, and poofed, and pressed. And it sits in a plastic 'form' all ready for transport.
So im pretty sure you DONT try it on, you just pick up!!
So excited for you.

Re: Picking up your dress question
No, DH actually picked up my dress because I was already in NY (he didn't see it because it was all zipped up in the garment bag!). My final fitting was about a week before. It was also packed up and hung nicely for the trip to NY so even if I had picked it up I wouldn't have wanted to try it on.

I picked mine up on my final fitting, so it depends on your situation. Did you try it on since the last time it was altered? If it hasn't been altered since you tried it on, no your taking it home as is. If it has, then I would try it on.

Re: Picking up your dress question
I did try mine on bc it had been altered since my last try on so I wanted to see the changes and to make sure it fit and also bc my BM was there to learn how to do my bustle .. . then the seamstress just reironed a little and off we went!
they should know what to do. . if you need to try it on or not!
