blue is and has always been my fav color, so that was a given. then i tried to think what would look nice and summery with it. my main color is blue (blue bm dresses, blue ribbon on programs, menus, favors, etc) but i dont like blue flowers because they dont come naturally so i'm going with peach.
an all peach centerpiece is a little overpowering so im doing white, cream, peach, pale green, etc.
lots of pix in my albums

I love brown (and it's a fall wedding) so went back and forth with different combos then decided on chocolate brown and baby pink.

Re: Picking wedding colors...
Our bedroom.. It is sage and whitish walls.. with plum purple curtains and bedding.. don't ask it looks cool together but there is black and white and silver accents everywhere and glitteriness.
Serious it is like a fairy wonderland and romantic so we went with our favorite which is what we did our room in...

Re: Picking wedding colors...
Wedding is in late Sept, so thought fall colors would be appropriate but its still warm that time of year and I wanted a 'fresh' look...
So I found a flower picture I really loved and then as I was eating my melon salad decided how fresh and fun the colors where, so those are the colors: watermellon, mango, honeydew!
and to mellow it all out, navy touches here and there, like FM's suit, men's suits, pocketfolds, maybe table numbers ... still thinking ...

Re: Picking wedding colors...
I went for two of my favorite colors, light blue and purple. I didn't care about the season, but it happens to work out well since we're getting married in January so we can go with a Winter Wonderland theme and throw lots of white and silver in there.

We are having a spring wedding on the water - wanted champagne and stumbled upon the sable brown once we started picking out flowers.. so it turned into white, light pink, champagne, and sable brown :)

I first picked a dress style I loved and then selected the color I thought it looked best in, and that I liked the best

Re: Picking wedding colors...
Since we are the day after Thanksgiving, I really wanted to use vibrant fall colors. I fell in love with a dress in truffle brown, so I thought that vibrant fall colors would be perfect....then I think that guys are going to wear a cognac (kind of copper) colored vest!
I wanted something neutral so the girls could hopefully wear their dresses again.

We also chose blue as our primary color but really struggled with what color to do flowers. Like this poster said, I would not use blue flowers. So if you chose blue think ahead about what flowers you will want! We ended up deciding on all white.

Re: Picking wedding colors...
Yellow roses are my favorite flowers, and I knew I wanted that to be the theme of the wedding. I've always love the color combo of purple and yellow, so I did the dresses in victorian lilac.
