Picky about makeup

Hi ladies,

I wear makeup every day and am pretty particular about it, especially when it comes to my eyes. I have had one makeup trial so far and didn't like the way it turned out. I am questioning whether or not I should just do my own makeup on the big day, although I wish it didn't have to come down to that. Does anyone else wear makeup on a daily basis/found a makeup artist that they like, preferably one that does a smokey eye? Thanks in advance!

I suggest lola loves make up too. If you know what you want, make sure you let the MUA know the look that you are going for. You're paying for it, you should get what you want!

Thanks! I'd rather not post who the trial was with in case she reads it and she was very sweet so I don't want to offend. I may try out lolalovesmakeup. What would you say her style is like? Oksana is a little too expensive for my/my bridesmaids' budget. I appreciate the suggestions!

def get in touch with sandra baldini - she is fantastic! i wanted a less dramatic look on my eyes, but she did an amazing smokey eye for my sister and one of my other BM

try out lorraine hunter at the bobbi brown counter inside saks in the walt whitman mall...she does weddings all the time and she'll do as much or as little makeup as you want...very reasonably priced

I also wear makeup ever day- esp smoky eye makeup. I used Lola loves makeup and I loved it. She did a smoky plum instead for my wedding since I usually wear the greys every day.

Wow! Your makeup looked gorgeous!!! Thank you all for your responses. I guess I wouldn't say I'm super picky - I just can't see paying $100+ for something I could do myself. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself even if you can because it's your wedding you need to be relaxed and not worrying about perfecting your makeup.

My friend was going to do this and last minute her friend did it for her...and she was soooooo happy that her friend did it and not herself.

I'm the same way! I wear makeup everyday (eyeshadow, eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, foundation, sculpting bronzer, blush, highlighter etc haah might be too much but what the heck, it makes me feel good and I get compliments on it.

I'm very particular about my eye makeup but that's because I have hooded eyes hahaha so it can look weird depending on the makeup but anyway I haven't looked for a MUA yet but I just wanted to know you're not alone, I'm picky as well

aww thank you so much! I get so scared about doing other people's makeup like.. what if they absolutely hate it on their wedding day? haha so much pressure!
