Pics from my makeup trial yesterday

I had my second makeup trial with a friend of mine, Maria. She does makeup for commercials and for brides and is very good. The first time, I was happy but felt it wasn't different enough from my everyday look, and wasn't bridal enough. She also used a little too much foundation for me, since I wear very little (usually bare minerals). So this time, I asked her to go lighter and more shimmery / sparkly. I LOVE IT! I booked her and am soooo happy with the way it came out. She brushed on foundation, spreading it out very evenly and then even took some off when I thought it was still a little too much for me. Colors were great, and I loooooooooved my eyes. Sparkly, bright, ephereal which was exactly the look I was going for - kinda angelic / dream-like if that makes sense. (I am not an angel by any means, but I want to look like one!!)

The first pic was taken about 2 hours after she finished, and the second (please do not mind the closeup of my forehead) is much later at night, about 9 hours after she put it on. It stayed perfectly! She used some cream shadow and I noticed about an hour before the last pic was taken that the shadow was creasing a teeny bit, so I patted it a bit with my finger and it looked much better. I will ask her about using more primer under the shadow .. but overall, I am super happy!

Thanks girls. The only thing I still have to work on is the lipstick ... I never wear it so I don't want anything with too much color. My lips were chapped yesterday and very red, so anything looked like too much I also don't want my lips to compete with my eyes, so I may actually just wear a clear / pale pale pale pinky/peach lip gloss. That's what I have on in the first pic.

I should also mention that the pics don't do it justice. It may not look like enough to some people - but I wanted a very soft look. It looked much better in person!

It's funny, I just looked at the pics again ... the colors were more pink in person. The shadow was a pinky mauve with a little brown mixed in .. and some creamy pink / peach too. It looked really nice - I can't wait to see the whole thing together, hair, dress, jewelry .... I hate to sound narcissitic, but I think it will look really amazing!!

No worries! I showed her just one pic from a magazine and she nailed it! And thanks for the compliments! SO excited to have a look I LOVE!
