Pics of my Shower at DiMaggios on the Water in Port Washington
I had my 'NY Shower' on Sunday at DiMaggio's on the Water in Port Washington. ![]()

It was great! The food was so tasty, the waitstaff was very polite and attentive, and they were so accomodating. We didn't feel rushed at all, and even though there was a big first communion party going on in the other room, we felt like we were the only party there!
Here are some pics:
Me and FH before we opened gifts (yes, he came and he was a really good sport about it!)
Us with the cake:
Opening presents!!!!
I got the Kitchen Aid mixer! Wooohooo! Notice the look of sheer elation on my face:
My FH is the most patient man in the whole world...I still can't believe he let us do this to him AND kept a smile on his face...
My mom ordered the cake from Elite Bakery in Bayside, and while the cake was tasty, my mother was completely disgusted with them. Here's why:
She noticed when she went to pick up the cake that they had written 'Shower of Happiness' so she asked if they could re-dp it without messing it up. They couldn't so they just squeezed the 's' in. She didn't notice that they had ALSO spelled 'happiness' wrong until they wheeled the cake out at the shower. My mother was livid. In addition, I thought the flowers on the cake were hideous, and the writing (even forgetting about the spelling errors) looks like it was written by a child. Definitely not using them again....
