pics on cd?

Hi Ladies......was wondering a silly question, i am on a tight budget and was going to just have my pics on a cd from my photographer but was wondering how it works to print them out? and how much would it cost me to print my own pics or make my own album? would the quality still be there? Thanks!!!

I get pictures printed from places like Snapfish or Shutterfly all the time. The quality is great, and a lot cheaper that photogs if all you want is plain ol' prints!

That is exactly what I am doing. I plan on using my publisher for the albums. HTH

Jadore Love gives their pics on CD and keep an open mind with what I'm about to say but Wal Mart One Hour Photo prints amazing quality pics! The matte finish comes out beautifully. Give them a try if you dont believe me

I love snapfish and thats what I'll be doing with my photos. My photographer is taking care of our album though.

make sure that you get the rights to the pics. Many places will not give you the rights to them for a certain length of time (meaning the CD might have a watermark on the photos)

I made parents albums on My Publisher

i agree- thats what we did and it worked out great!! our photographer actually uploaded ALL our pics onto shutterfly for us so even our guests could order prints too.

i usually print my pictures on either Shutterfly or Winkflash and I never had a problem with either and the quality is great.

We actually ordered out photo guestbook from Shutterfly and we love the way it came out!

I'd be careful because the CD might not be high-res images.

I made an album for my SIL's wedding on Shutterfly and it came out awesome. It was about $60 because I added a million pages

ITA make sure you get the rights.

Also, I personally don't love snapfish or shutterfly - I've had negative experiences with both. In my experience, the best place to have photos printed is your neighborhood Walgreens! They run specials and have coupons at least once a month that are like $0.10 prints or 50 prints free or something to that effect. I think if you order them online they are $0.19 each normally or $0.29 if you bring the CD into the store and ask them to help you do it.

Just make sure when you ask for digital images on a CD that you get:
-full digital rights, meaning you can actually print it. I've heard of photographers locking the pictures so it's only available to view
-there are NO watermarks. You would hate to go to print to find a little photographer logo on it
-make sure they are full size, full res! I've heard horror stories of brides going to print and the pictures are ONLY thumbnail sizes!

I plan to print regular pictures through places like Snapfish etc. But I also plan to get a couple of our favorites blown up through our photographer. I feel like she might have connections with a professional printing service than can print on high quality paper for bigger size. Know what I mean?

And I've been researching on semi-pro online DIY album places to make our own albums.
