Picture Location Before Ceremony

Picture Location Before Ceremony

Ok I've asked this question before but maybe there are some new ideas - does any know of a location that we can go to take pictures that is indoors and close to JT? Angelica Glass suggested that FH and I go somewhere to take pictures before our ceremony - and I really don't want them at JT - she suggested OWG but they are closed in December. She also suggested a museum but its about 40 minutes away - and I don't want to go that far....I checked out Oheka Castle but there is a wedding there on my date Any other ideas?

ooo I didn't know OWG was closed in December! I was just telling FH that since we have a 3 hour gap in between the church and cocktail hour we should go there for pics!

But i do like the idea of Oheka's Castle....did you call them up??

TIA!!

oh haha and to answer your question. I am not too sure of where to go. As you can tell we are trying to think of the same thing. But if I come up with anything I will let you know!!

well originally we were thinking of staying at Oheka the night before the wedding & taking pics there before the ceremony - then a bride on here told me that she is getting married there on my date and staying there as well - I checked out Oheka anyway but they said that there is only one bride at a time and no pics if there is an event/wedding going on......i was so upset but I am going to keep checking - you never know sometimes weddings are cancelled or the wedding date is changed - not that I want her too but you never know what could change - obviously you know that! you changed your date! i just want a cool spot to take pictures especially since we have AG to work with!

I have the same problem too.. our ceremony is at our RH and we want to have nice daylight for our pictures. Being that yours is in Decemeber maybe you could see if you cold take pics in a different area of Oheka? From what I remember its a pretty big place..

haha yeah I got ya. I am definitely going to keep looking around. What is the name of the Muesum AG suggested? I wonder if I know it . But yeah I am using Dan Savino from Golden Moments and he worked with AG back in the day so his work is similar not the same but similar. Very photojournalistic. So I want some really nice place to get some really good shots as well...and have NO idea haha

yeah, even if there was a seperate spot, i dont want to be annoying or be annoyed i rather be the only bride around if possible - at least for picture taking.....at the RH i don't care.....but I don't want to wait around for another bride to finish so I can use the area or vice versa - i would feel bad making someone else wait and i would hate waiting - well because im evil

What about RexCorp Plaza in Uniondale (used to be called EAB Plaza). It will be nicely decorated for Christmas. I know its offices, but the main lobby area is pretty.

I know a lot of people used to go there to take pictures. They changed the look of the lobby since the time of when it was really popular, they made it more corporate looking. That's where FH works!

I think the only indoor locations they allow you to shoot in is their greenhouse (which i hear also smells bad). But if the weather isn't too bad, the outdoors is beautiful!

But honestly, with AG, i think it doesn't really matter where you shoot because somehow everything looks nice. Did you see Papayachic's indoor pics at CLM (i think it rained on her day) on AG's blog? If she didn't say so herself, I would have never guessed it was at a reception hall (except for the ones where they're in the reception room, of course).

I shouldn't be talking since i changed my e-pic location like a million times . But i've since learned my lesson....I just let her choose where to shoot the morning of.
