PICTURE LOCATIONS (NASSAU COUNTY)

I booked Old Westbury Gardens, but I want a more castle, exotic feel for pics.

Where else is there?

Ever been to Sands Point Reserve? They have a castle & beach. Not sure what the policy is about taking pictures.

I was looking at that one too. I want something different and a little exotic. Everyone goes to OWG...(has a lot of nice spots, but I hate the typical wedding shots).

I have to look into Sands Point

I have never been to Sands Point but when I was looking this seemed very nice and not the same as OWG or Planting Fields

I think it's $50 or $100 for a permit depending if you have a 'Leisure Pass' or not?? I found this link:

I am trying to book my photos at sands point in the castle. The permit you need to get is about $250

FH & I live in Port Washington, so we like to go hiking on the trails behind the castle. It's a beautiful area. I think the Hempstead house is open now that Running Wilde isn't filming there any more. The back of the house is gorgeous & you have the LI sound right there too!

If you don't want the 'typical' shots, then maybe you should pick a more unusual location? I have seen pics of brides in libraries, diners, train tracks, bars, museums, firehouses, candy stores...that list could go on forever. If you still want a park, what about Eisenhower? I don't know if they would let you but maybe you could take pics at the Vanderbilt museum (it's really a mansion)?

How much is Old Westbury Gardens charging you (if you don't mind me asking). My fiance and I are looking for a place to get our engagement pictures taken and it is really beautiful there :)

For 1.5 hrs after 3pm is costing around 350ish if I recall correctly, but it will probably be different for engagement pics. Best bet is to call.

Vanderbilt is too far. I am going to check Sands Point. I look the older feel of the castle their as opposed to the mansion at OWG.
