i got a wquote for pictures last night. For all the proofs, negatives, an album, 4 8x10's, 6 5x7's and 100 thank you cards the price is $1900 is that good? ? we also met a videographer and for one ediited version one unedited version and a couple of copies i got a quote for $1300. can you tell me if these are reasonable prices and if you don't mind can you share your prices with me.

We paid about $2700 for photographer and got: 8x10 Bridal Album (50) 2 5x7 Parent Albums (24) 1 16x20 Portrait 2 8x10 Portraits 100 Thank You Cards 6 5x7 Bridal Party All Proofs & CD Rom
We paid $1200 for videographer and we get: Unedited tape 2 DVDs (1 chaptered and 1 non chaptered) Edited tape

How many pictures did they guarantee you? How many pictures will there be in the album? Parents albums? Digital or film? B&W or color? What style of photography? How many photographers?
If you have the answers to these questions and you like the package, it sounds like a good plan. With photo and video, Im paying about $3700.

i opted for no parent albums, black and white for any picture that i want, 24 pictures in the album, if he needs an assistant he would bring one - no charge, film not digital. i liked that he gave all of the proofs back and negatives after we ordered out book

I think you really need to be careful with your photos. I know they can be exepnsive but its the only thing you will have left from your day. $1900 sounds very cheap but is it worth it to go the cheap route with your wedding photographs? To me, the pics are the most important thing and we adjusted our bedget accordingly so that would could afford to get an excellent photographer and Im 100% confident that she will do an amazing job. You get what you pay for. Just my thoughts

We paid $4700 but I don't remember what all we got.
I know for sure all proofs
1 magazine style album (60 pic)
2 parent albums (12 5x7)
and some reprints and thank you pictures.

I am paying 2700 including tax and I am getting: 2 photographers(one photojournalist, one posed pics) 500-600 proofs minimum- black and white, sepia and special color work included 11x14 album 2 leather parent folios 1-11x14 1X8X10 75 Thank you(if I need more, I just ask) 1 11x14 royal album with 45-50 pics For an extra 500 I can upgrade to a soho style album with 60-70 pics after the wedding This is exactly what I wanted and at the price I wanted to pay. I also love their work and have heard no complaints about them. www.duetweddings.com BTW- Their prices have gone up since Sept. I think about 600 more for my package.
