Then you should definately go to the pond/lake by the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook ... it`s got all the elements for a beautiful picture ... except for the bride and groom of course! Or you can try Cedar Beach ... I think it`s in Mt. Sinai but not too far from Rocky Point. Those are the two spots I`m going to to have my pictures taken! If I think of anything else, I`ll let you know. Hope this helps!

You could also take pictures at the Mill Pond in Setauket. This or the Village Green in Stony Brook is where we will probably take pictures too. There's lots of places in those areas. You could probably find a nice place by the Nissaquoge River too.

Mark Kauffman and a must do before pictures
We took ours at the Oakdale Arboretium. Post this on the vendor board. Mark Kauffman works out that way and has a lot of good ideas. Suggestion. Wherever you choose, go check it out and get a feel for where you want to take your pictures. Keep in mind how far you will have to walk. And for the Arboertium, I loved it by the water but there was duck crap all over, so there was no way everyone could walk all that way.

Hi Nicole, My photographer is Daniel Kreiger ... he works out of his home in Mt. Sinai so he is able to offer very reasonable packages. He was the one who suggested the pond in Stony Brook and I had my heart set on Cedar Beach! The time gap between the ceremony and the cocktail hour is over two hours so he said we can go to as many locations as I want to take pictures! If you`re looking for a really accomodating, flexible and friendly photographer, definately give him a call. His number is 631.928.8417 Good Luck!

Brenda, I would like to go to Oakdale Arboritium for our pictures too. Do you remember how much it is? Do they charge you per car or do I need to make an appt to go? Thanks for your help. Lisa

That's great to hear! I really felt comfortable with him and I was confident with my decision to use him, but it's always nice to hear great feedback on one of your vendors! Thanks!

Cost for Oakdale Arboretium
In May it was only $5.00 per car. That was it, no need to talk to anyone.

Cost for Oakdale Arboretium-Brenda?
I don't think you can take inside, but I'm not sure. They have a lot of greenery. A gazebo on the grass and an old house with tons of flowers near it. We took pictures in front of the house and around the back in the gazebo off the house. I wanted to take it by the water, but there was to much duck crap. I was bummed. But my suggestion would be to check it out. Go for the day with your honey, bring a picnic lunch and walk around. it's nice there. It doesn't have to much architecture. Just a lot of green and trees. There is an arboretium in Nassau that my cousin used and it had arches and buildings, it was beautiful, but way to far for us. Think about what you want. You could go to your photographer and just look through some of his/her sample books and get a feel for what look your going for.Welcome New Vendors
