Re: Picture taking
We are also doing pictures before the ceremony. I think the CH is the best part of the wedding and I don't want to miss it!

Re: Picture taking
Our ceremony is from 5-530 (hopefully it will start on time)
545-630 pics by lighthouse/beach
630-7 travel to RH then pics at the hall.
CH starts at 8
We are NOT missing the CH its the best part!!!

Re: Picture taking
We are going traditional on this one. He doesn't want to see me until I am walking down the aisle..I couldn't be happier about this because I don't believe in seeing him before walking down the aisle either. So, we will have an hour and a half after our ceremony and before our CH to take pics. At least we can make all of or some of our CH, depending on how we do our pictures.

MOST weddings have a big gap and people have ALWAYS dealt with it, you shouldn't concern yourself. To be honest most of your guests won't go to the ceremony, just close friends and family ...the other guests will leave their houses when its time to get to the reception...your close friends and family will understand...most infact dont dress up for the ceremony theyll go there then they go back home to get ready and head to the reception.

Yes - I know about ppl not getting dressed until the reception - but no ONE is going to drive all the way into Manhattan to drive back - ya know
So, I know - I'm trying not to feel too bad...but, I cant help it
I know a lot of my family are getting hotel rooms, so they could always go back there - but a lot of his family is not
Ah, w/e - I guess they'll have to deal
PS - 5hours! why so much time?

your ceremony is in manhattan? well what about having something at the lobby of a hotel guests are staying at, even the ones who dont have rooms there can just meet everyone in the lobby and hang out, have some drinks while they wait.
Well at catholic churches they have mass at 5 on sat's so we cant have it too late, and confession is at 4:30 so we have to be out of there even before that so they can clean up...i think the latest we could do it was 3:30 and cocktail hour starts at 7:30 but AG recommended i change my ceremony to 2:30, we havent done this yet though.
BUT our RH has a lounge for early arrivals to hang out, they have couches, they have food for them, drinks and music...plus FMIL will have everyone over her house after if they want

That's a good idea w/ having something at lobby of hotel - do I set that up orrrrrrr? Just spread the word for ppl to go there???

I actually told my RH hall that people are OOT and they may come bout a half hour early. They said they would put out a cheese platter and champagne in a bar at the Woodlands. I would check with your RH hall, maybe they can do something!
