picture timing

i want pictures of:
me and FH
us and our bridal party
and immediate family photos (these we can knock out quickly bc our families are small)

we're doing all of the photos at the RH (before the ceremony). how long should i plan for this to take?

Re: picture timing

i would say at least 2 hours... thinking that it will take an hour for family and bp shots and an hour for you and fh

email your photog... they'll know how much time you need!

eta: we took all of our pictures before the ceremony and it took us approx. 2.5 to 3 hours

Re: picture timing

The earliest my RH would let us get there is 9am (2 hours before the ceremony) ... but the first 15 minutes were putting on my dress, and the last 15-30 minutes were signing the ketubah / marriage license and hiding from the guests as they go to the ceremony. We took a TON of pictures and got all of the 'normal' poses taken care of, but we had a lot more 'weird' pictures on our must-takes list that we didn't have time for.

I'd say to give yourselves at least 2 hours is plenty for just 'normal' pictures ... if you have weird ones too, add more time.

Maybe ask your photographer? Ours is coming at noon and ceremony is at 3pm and he said that should be plenty of time to get all the pictures out of the way before the ceremony.

Re: picture timing

thanks girls. he seemed to think that we would have enough time but his price for an extra hour isn't too bad so i thought it might be worth it.

our guests will be arriving at 6 pm at which point I want to be completely finished with pics.

i also want to do a very quick rehearsal. shouldn't take more than 20 mins.

so....i was thinking of having him arrive at 3:30 or 2:30. i'm leaning towards 2:30 so that it's not rushed.
