I was going to suggest this. We took our pics at Westbury Gardens which is beautiful but they charge for it.

centennial gardens in floral park- it's a bird sanctuary with beautiful gardens, a fountain, a bridge, and other things- I took all my wedding photos there and it's free!

I think the gardens close at 5pm that's the problem ....

I went there after my church ceremony and we didn't get there until like 430pm. You just have to call the village hall and ask permission. We wrote a short letter to the mayor of floral park and got a response within like 3 days. They said that they would keep it open if we agreed to compensate the gate keeper for staying later. We tipped him like $30 and that was that! :)
