I booked at De Seversky too (and am planning from Boston)! Your pictures are great - much better than my own, so thank you for sharing. I am getting married Nov. 6 this year. Have you ladies decided on music or centerpieces yet? Have either of you sent save-the-dates? I wanted to have a theme of some sort - but I am very undecided, so just thought I would see if others had any creative ideas.

Also, I just blocked rooms at the East Norwich Inn just down the road. Any other hotels you would suggest I consider instead? I wish there was a Hampton Inn close.

Congrats on booking an awesome place. You are going to love it! You are getting married in November so what about a fall theme. You can have gorgeous fall flowers with some deep red roses and maybe some mango callalillies. There are so many options! Also DeSeversky makes and bottles their own maple syrup. That would be a unique wedding favor. I know I have seen some brides do a fall theme and it looks awesome. I not doing a theme but everything is going to be all red. All red flowers, tables, etc. I love red! I think it is romantic. November is going to be beautiful at DeSeversky. Congrats again!

Just wanted to say I went to a wedding there last June! It was really very nice! The place is so pretty and I was joking with FH cousins, being in this mansion with all the rooms and the large lawns, we felt like we were in the Great Gatsby era!
The food was good, and the presentation was nice!
They brought out the salads in three little bowls, so it was like salad sampler. It was a little rainy day but even so it was nice to stand outside to get some air and chat.
I was skeptical when I saw the invite said NYIT campus (being I had never been there) but the place was beautiful
(and I am saying that even though we were there while construction was going on)

Yeah I have heard about the construction. They moved the entrance or something. I think it is all done now. I saw the tasting trio of salads on the menu. Were they tasty? Thanks for the review. I was thinking of not saying it was on the campus of NYIT on the invite for that same reason. I don't want people to think it is just a college building or something. It much more special then that. What do you think?

I love red too - we might be doing a shade of red for the bridesmaids. I can't believe that DeSeversky bottles their own maple! It's so random, but I have already purchased my favors...living in Boston I go to Maine often, and got a great deal on Stonewall Kitchens jam (not sure if you have heard of them.)

But what I love about the place is that it does not need a lot to make it great... so I guess I shouldn't worry.

Your wedding with all red there will be incredible! I can picture it working there so well!!

...oh, and did you block a hotel by chance? Just curious.

We haven't even thought about hotels yet. I think Pilar would be a great person to ask about a nice hotel close by. The jam sounds perfect. Great favor and very usable!

Fairytailprincess- I love stonewall jams. great favor. my family has been going to maine since i was an infant. i get the jams every summer. where in maine do you go? we are lake people- belgrade lakes region (on golden pond) I can't wait to go up there again this summer. so peaceful.
