Does anyone have pictures that were taken at night? FH and I are battling with the time of the sunset and wanted to see if we can really get nice pics that arent daylight. Thanks!

Re: Pictures at night
Here's one I have saved that I would like to recreate...too bad there's a quarter crescent moon on my wedding day!!

We are having the same problem. We have already checked the sunset time. It is 6:24 for our 6:30 ceremony. Every photographer we have been to has told us something different about taking pictures at night, and we have NO idea who (or what) to believe. I think the first photographer who shows us evening pictures is going to wind up with our business.

Re: Pictures at night
You are right that different photographers are saying different things! Sunset is 4:48pm (its the week after daylight savings). IF we want to be able to get nice daylight pics, we will have to make our church at 1pm even thought our reception isnt until 7pm- problem is we will have to pay overtime for the photographers because that is alot of hours. UGH! So we are trying to figure out if it is worth it- or we can get some really nice pics after sunset that we will be happy with.

Same problem here! November 11 06 wedding. I checked & the sun sets at 4:34. Church is at 2:30, reception is at 7. We will have about 50-60 out of town guests & don't know what to do with them during that big gap! It's at the Swan Club and they have a beautiful garden to take pics in and they said the garden is lit up w/ spotlights but I don't think they will shine all the way to the top of the tree! Anybody have night pictures at the Swan Club?

Re: Pictures at night
my ceremony is at 4 and CH is at 8-11/3/06 so it will be nice and dark before I even take a single pic-my photographer showed me nice pics at night and basically told me that a good photographer will be able to get quality pics-
I hope he is right

I hope he's right. Does anybody have photos of Swan Club's garden at night?
Who is your photographer? Do they have a website with those shots?

Re: Pictures at night
This is exactly why I was sooo exicted when I heard that daylight savings time was maybe going to change as of november 2006. (but the passed it as of 11/07) That would have been great! Just still battling the idea of whether or not the pics will be good with spot lights and stuff- or we will really miss something by not having daylight pics.....

Re: Pictures at night
dilemmas dilemmas... how much of a gap is too big of a gap between the ceremony & reception? i have an idea... why not just stop by the hall after sunset and see how it looks, where the lights are and the views and i think we'll be able to make a decision off that!

Re: Pictures at night
this is one of my favorites! The color didn't scan as well as it looked in person. This is around 6 pm in February.
Here are a few of ours. I loved how my pics came out at night. We took all the family pics inside the hall and they came out great too. The quality of these isn't perfect b/c they are scanned from my proofs. None of the proofs I have on the computer are close up or show us looking at the camera. I'll have to scan some others
