Pictures before ceremony....

For those that did this, how long did you need before the ceremony? We have a very, very small BP and siblings, parents...that's it. Our ceremony time is 6:30 pm. I was thinking 3:30? 4?

your photographer will set up a timeline with you. It depends on if you have to do anything before the ceremony (like are you signing a marriage contract or doing anything related to your religion) if you want a ball park, 3 is prolly a good time to start for your pics and then have your fam there by 4, 430.

I was gonna say the same thing. It's up to the photographer.

i didn't leave it up to my photographer.

i knew i wanted about 2 hours of pictures so i made sure that everyone was at the photo location by 1:45pm and we did pics from 2-4pm. Ceremony was at 5 and about 20 minutes away from the photo location. That gave the groom to get to the church by 4:30 like he was supposed to. I took my time at the photo location getting to the church (e.g. fixed up hair and makeup, went to the bathroom, ate something).

i did pics two hours pre-ceremony but because we got there a bit late and things just took longer than we expected, i really only had an hour and a half so we missed A LOT of pictures.

if i had to re-do it, i'd start pics at least 2 1/2 or 3 hours beforehand

We schedualed our photos at an outside location (Old Westbury Gardens) From 2-330. Then we took pics at our RH from 4-4:45 with our family, with our ceremony starting about 5, DH and I saw each other before hand but we (I) still felt very rushed to get all our pictures done, and unfortunatly we didnt. :( if you have the time in the day i would definatly leave at least 3 hours dedicated to just photos. IMO anything less, you have a chance to miss out on some pics.
