pictures from Brady37's amazing wedding in Ireland!!
Warning- this is long.....but that's b/c I had to share some of the details of Kerri's unique & beautiful wedding!!!! Feel free to skip ahead to the pics if you'd like- here's a link to
KERRI'S WEDDING PICS!
I had the most amazing time ....it was truly an experience I will never ever forget! The weather was so great.....she had the most perfect day of the week- gorgeous sunshine and I think the temperature was in the low 70's (I get confused with the celsius conversion!
When we first arrived at the Dublin airport, one of the Customs agents told us that it had rained for SIXTY THREE DAYS STRAIGHT, and had only stopped 2 days before we got there!! The rain only picked up again last night, just in time for our departure today!!
Anyway......I have to tell you that the Irish really know how to party!!! A wedding there is generally at least a 12 hour affair.
This is what our timeline looked like:
-Ceremony- 1-2PM
-Got back to hotel/reception from the church around 3:30 (since we were all hanging around outside church for a bit)
-Arrival reception: 4PM-6PM- this is basically just to get your drink on!
-6PM-9PM- food, food & more food!!!! only some low music played while we ate, and it was from the hotel's speaker system, they keep the eating & dancing separate- they served the appetizer, soup, dinner & dessert- one after another!! I was stuffed!!! at the end of the eating, the best man & groom gave a speech
-9PM-Midnight- band plays (although her band started an hour late, b/c they were setting up and took extra time to tune up......funny though b/c everyone is used to weddings being such an affair, all the guests seem to just socialize & drink anyway!! no one was fazed at all!!)
-Midnight-2AM- disco time as they call it- time to get down to the DJ! Oh, and around midnight they brought out mini sandwiches and bowls of sausage, this is customary, and I'm guessing it's to soak up all the alcohol you consume since the party just keeps on goin'!!
-2AM-???: after party at the hotel's public bar....I made it until 3:30....but I heard there were some survivors up until 5:30/6!!
Kerri is such a sweetie, before we were going out to Temple Bar (area within Dublin) last night, she comes into our room and gives me a little surprise- she wanted to give me a little mini-bachelorette party- she bought me a tiara and glowing penis sticks and a penis pacifier that lit up! It was a lot of fun!!!!
Well I guess I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!! Kerri was so grateful to all the OOTer's for coming, but honestly I am so grateful to her that I was able to attend such a beautiful wedding!!
Congrats to Kerri & Russ!!!!
