Last night I went to Maxine's wedding and it was so amazing. Every last detail was perfect and everything looked amazing. When I walked into the reception room the flowers literally took my breath away. The red rose CP's and the crystal chandeliers with red flowers were breathtaking. I was in awe. The cocktail hour was delicious there was so much food my FH was in heaven...haha. There was cold food, hot food, a caviar bar, a 3 piece jazz trio and so much more. Then I went into the bathroom and saw the cutest ever slipper baskets. All the ladies in there were saying how cute they were and what a great idea it was. She had plenty in all sizes to pick from. I got sparkly black ones. After about 2 hours of dancing I put my slippers on and it felt so good!
Then after cocktail hour we walked downstairs and saw the votive place card holders. They were all lit up and looked so beautiful. She had a beautiful framed picture of herself and her new hubby in the back. Then we walked into the ballroom and like I said above the flowers and candles were amazing. I love love love red roses and flowers so for me it was even more fabulous. The chandeliers were sparkling next to the candles. Every table was named something different like love, promise, etc. We were at the promise table. She had beautiful table cards made by Denise (neesiepie) and also had menus at each place setting. On the table was bottles of wine, champagne and cute little boxes with Jordan almonds.
The DJ was awesome. He kept everyone up dancing the whole night. They also had a bongo player who made everyone really groove. After Brian saw him he now 'needs' to have him at our reception. HBradio (Heather) and her FH wanted the bongo player too. It was cute later in the night the bongo player brought the bongos to the middle of the dance floor and Maxine and Joe both were playing them.
The food and service at the Sandcastle was awesome. Our server was constantly refilling our glasses and folding our napkins and asking if we needed anything. We had mozzarella caprese for appetizer, then salad and pasta and then the main entree. I had the stuffed chicken and Brian had the filet mignon. Both were delicious. We had a choice of 6 different menu items. The best part is after they served the meal they came around with all the different entrees and asked if anyone wanted seconds. After we ate the server came around and gave everyone a hot towel to wash there hands with. Very classy!
At my table was Heather (HBradio), Denise (Neesiepie), Daniela (DIJBH) and all our dates. So it was fun sitting with LIW people and chatting with them. Also at the next table was Julz, Felicia and Sandra and they all looked beautiful.
Then they had cut and served the wedding cake. Not only did it look amazing it tasted amazing. It was red velvet with chocolate filling. It was so moist and tasty. Then they brought out the Viennese hour. She had the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!! I love that thing. Everyone at my table was all excited for the chocolate fountain...haha. There was soooo many desserts: pastries, cakes, bananas forster crepes, cotton candy, ice cream bar, zeppoles, candy buffet, hot pretzels, cordials, cappucino, espresso etc. It was the biggest Viennese I had ever seen.
She gave us bottles of Glen Ellen wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) with a wine stopper as favors. Then as a surprise on the way out there were picture frames for everyone with pictures from every table that someone had taken of us after dinner. We were all shocked. It was a great surprise. Also on the way out there was a bagel cart with coffee, fresh bagels, cream cheese, etc to take home. Oh and if that wasn't enough when you got into the car there was an air freshener with their names on it that said 'Love is in the air' that the valet put in the car. So as you can see this wedding was amazing and I was so lucky to be a guest and to share in their joy.
Last but not least I have to tell you how gorgeous Maxine looked. She was glowing the whole night and had a huge smile on her face. Her son was sooo cute in his little tux. And her husband and the entire bridal party looked wonderful. So thanks Maxine for an amazing time! You did a fabulous job planning this wedding and it showed. I was impressed! Wishing you lots of luck and love in the future with your son and hubby!
