Pictures in the Park

Hi, I'm new here. I am having problems and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. We are planning on taking our formal pictures in a park. I am having problems finding a nice one that has flowers in May. That is my biggest thing and I don't want to spend a fortune. The church is in Valley Stream and the hall is in Farmingdale so, I have a bit of room to go somewhere in between. Is there anybody that can help?

That's pretty funny. I just went there Sunday and so far, it is on top of my list. I am just not 100% sure about it....thank you though!

Westbury Gardens is beautiful but EXPENSIVE> Costs like $400 to get pics there!!

Is Westbury Gardens the one with the huge Mansion in the background on Glen Cove road? If so, it is gorgeous there. If thats not the same place, I haven't a clue the name of the place I am thinking of. Sorry!

Well call them up to make sure. They have a website . But I am pretty sure that it was around there. The Arboretum is $125 and it is beautiful.

I was supposed to take pics ther ebut I got lost on the way there!! Don't ask...... it was the only snafu on my wedding day.

Kathy-
Which church are getting married at? My ceremony is at Holy Name of Mary.
Did you think about the Village Green? I'm not sure if they have a lot of flowers but my brother took his pics there and they were beautiful!

Try Clark Gardens in Alberson. It is beautiful there and cheaper than the other gardens. I think I paid like $75 and had unlimited use. Actually, nobody even checked for my pass and I probably could have gotten away without it even!

I've never heard of SUNY Farmingdale's garden and I am a professor there. But I could very well be wrong.

I am getting married at Blessed Sacrament. I have thought about the village green. I don't think there are flowers there but, the Gazebo is really pretty. That might be where we end up if nothing else works out.

Thank you for all of your suggestions!! I am going to go look and I'll let you know what we end up with.

Farmingdale State has a beautiful rose garden and more. We checked it out last week. That's probably where we're going to get our pictures taken.
