Okay, maybe I am being difficult but I will have my ceremony at the reception hall (possibly inside, possibly out, although definately inside if I choose a summer month) but I dont want to take pictures with my FH before the ceremony because I want the first moment he sees me is when I walk down the aisle. Then there's the coctail hour which I assume starts immediately after the reception, and I dont want to miss all of it. Im fine with just being there for 1/2 an hour but would 1/2 hour for pics of me and FH and groomsmen be enough (I would take pics with bms, parents, etc. before ceremony) I feel like this would be rushed plus little things like fixing makeup, going to the bathroom...
Is their a solution to this or am I being too difficult? (The only thing I could think of would be to have the ceremony someplace else but thing is, either way, it would be a chapel or outside becuase Im jewish, Fh is catholic so I thought it would be silly since we have the Rh anyway)
TIA

Re: Pictures with ceremony at rh
if you get 2 photographers and have one do all of the pictures of you with your bridesmaids before at one location, and your FH with his groomsmen before, that will help. also, you can try to get some family shots out of the way but you wont both be able to be in them.
then for CH you can get the shots of the 2 of you, and a few BP shots, family shots.
you can also try to get the hall to extend your CH to 1.5 hours rather than 1 hour. it's no guarantee, especially if there are other weddings that day, but it's possible so you might want to ask.
you'll have less time for pictures but you can still make it work.

We took pictures at the RH before the ceremony. I highly recommend it. You can have a special time where you see each other for the first time. Also, if you are Jewish, will you be having a ketubah? You would have to see each other before the ceremony for the ketubah signing. I hate to say it, but I think you will be rushed if you try to do it all at cocktail hour. We felt rushed taking pics for one hour before the ceremony and during cocktail hour.

We also signed a ketubah, so we saw eachother before anyway. I felt rushed with 2 hours of pictures before the ceremony, a few pictures in the bridal suite, and a few pictures squeezed in here and there after the ceremony.

can you extend your CH. Talk to your photographer about the time for pics. I took pics for a little over 2 hours. Sometimes it can take time to get all the pics you want and i would be worried that after the wedding when you get your proofs you'll think about so many types of pics you didnt get.

Re: Pictures with ceremony at rh
Honestly.. if you are going to get married at th RH the best bet is for you to take pictures before the ceremony. It takes alot longer than you think. A 1/2 hour is not enough. You spend so much money putting this party together and cutting into the cocktail hour just takes away from it. You want to enjoy your party. Plus it can be frustrating because you want to rush and the bridal party can sometimes be uncooperative and take their time and then you can turn into bridezilla and it's just a mess. ( just talking from personal experience)
I know what you mean that you want him to see you for the first time walking down the aisle but you need to weigh your options and make the best decision for you.
