Pie Distribution...need your opinion

Okay so I am trying to figure out how to give the pies out at the wedding. Originally I was going to have them on a large table and people can take one as they leave. But what if people leave and forget to take one? So then I was thinking maybe to have the wait staff after dinner bring the correct number of pies to each table and then keep it on the table so each guest will see it and know to take it home. What do you think?

I think having the waitstaff bring them around after dinner is a good idea!! You do have an extra one right?

Of course I have one for you girl! I went pie crazy and even giving all the vendors a pie I have like 10 left over.

We did a gable box w/a pie & a silver pie server and after dinner we had the hall set up a table by the entrance to the room. One person manned the table from dinner on to hand out pies to anyone leaving.

After doing it this way I'd have to say I think placing them on the table though is a better idea. A few of our guests walked right by the table at the end of the night as it was behind a crowd of people. And this with 4 people handing out pies!

I agree with having the waitstaff take care of it. Otherwise some people may grab a whole bunch (of course Chris would be the first one!!) of those lucious looking pies!!!

I like the idea of having the wait staff hand it out right after dinner - or maybe after the cake cutting? We went to a wedding in August where the wait staff put out the favors in the center of the table while the cake was being cut by the couple.

I would have the DOC hand them out as people leave.
