pillow for the ring bearer or ring box?

Our ring bearer won't actually be holding the rings (not too comfy with a 5 year old holding our rings). He'll be carrying a ring pillow.

The same with our RB. We are HOPING he does not throw the pillow down the aisle.
The BM will be holding onto them.

Re: pillow for the ring bearer or ring box?

I'm having a pillow made with fake rings tied on top with ribbons. My ring bearer is eight years old, but I'm still not trusting him with that much money's worth of platinum rings! The best man will carry them in a box in his pocket. (And maybe not even him, he's my FH's fifteen-year-old son.)

I think I told this story before here, but a girlfriend of mine went to an outdoor sunset wedding where they gave the very young ringbearer a pillow with the actual rings on it, not even tied down with ribbons. Maybe they thought it would be awkward to untie them? Well, this is more awkward: the little boy dropped the pillow and the rings rolled away. It was twilight and no one could find them, and they had to find flashlights from somewhere (car glove compartments?) to find them. NOT what I want to happen at my wedding, even if it's going to be at noon instead of night. Can you imagine?
