Anyone go there? I have a trial for hair and makeup on Saturday, thinking of using them day of cause they are right near where I'm going to be living and near FH's parents house, where he will be getting ready. I'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Re: Pilo Arts in Brooklyn
I've been there over the years. It's a very popular salon. I had my makeup done there for a wedding I was in in '09 and wasn't thrilled. That said, it's really, really personal preference and you may love it (most people do). If you don't end up satisfied with the trials, you can try Salon DaNoi (it's only a few blocks away).

I've been there for massages/facials and nails. Great massages and facials... nails not so much. I could have gone to a normal place and paid $20 for a mani/pedi that was of same quality.
There are def other places in the area for hair and makeup you should check out. Where are you getting married?

THEY STINK!! They are not good with colors, cuts and customer service. Over priced and not great at all. I wouldn't even step foot into that place again. Very rude stuff and think they are in the city for the prices they charge.
There is another bayridge place that my friends go to and I am going to try her: Reasonable and knowledgable MODERN TOUCH..75TH AND 13TH AVE .. HER NAME IS ROSIE 718-833-4617 SHE IS OPEN WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAYS =)

I've never personally been there but I've heard mixed reviews from others.
I go to Concept Elite on Avenue U in Brooklyn (near the Kings Plaza Mall) and love it there!!!!
I also used to go to Studio 19 on Kings Hwy and 19th St. and they were good too.

I've been there probably a million times - that used to be my salon until I moved a couple months ago. I've had my hair done there for weddings, proms, etc and its always been great. Only issue is that its expensive.

Thanks ladies. I canceled the apointment today.. I found out how much it was going to cost and it was ridiculous. See my datailed WHAAAAAAAAAH? post on 2011 board.
And they were really snotty when I went in to make the appointment to begin with. So eff you now!
