PINK???

PINK???

Here's the story:
I want my BM dresses to be pink. I've always thought that the tie and vest of the GM has to match the girl's dresses....true? That means their tie and vest would have to be pink, and when I ran this by FI, he begged me to change my mind and not have his boys wear pink.

I like it when the BP matches in pictures....what are your thoughts? I really don't want to switch the colors of the girl's dresses.

OK.... see my BM dresses are a very soft pink, but I really don't want the boys in that color b/c they'll kill me and also cuz I don't think it's necessary. My dresses have a platinum color sash, so what I'm going to do is have the boys get vests and ties to match that silver color. If u don't have a sash then I stll think it would look nice to have grey vests and ties, it's classy, safe, and the boys won't have a hissy fit

PS ... u could have them wear a pink boutineer (can't spell that) to tie it in

I don't think they have to match. The choice is really up to you. They should have a complimentry color to the pink.

I love the idea, so thats why I'm doing it. Darren's GM will be wearing honey Dew vests & ties. People do pink all the time. It looks very nice.

Ev, I'm going to be honest with you.......my FI had to wear pink for a wedding and they all HATED it......they wore it with a smile, but to this day, they all talk about how they hated it The girls dresses were pink as well .........

I could never hate you silly! I totally get it and wil probably give in and not make them wear pink.... just getting some opinions. Thanks for being honest sweetie!

My FH hates pink, although I must admit sometimes when I wear it, he likes it on me! Otherwise, he really hates the color, due to the fact that he hates taking penecilin as a kid and pink reminds him of that!! SOO, with that, I would never torture him with it. Good suggestions above...find a complimentary color or do a pink bout.

Our guys are wearing pink vests and ties and the BM dress is brown and pink....if your FH is not comfortable w/the guys in pink maybe they can do black as some girls suggested or even a silver or platinum vest and tie.

My FH was having a hard time with the guys in like a wine color for our wedding- but I think he has gotten over it. If your FH feels that uncomfortable I would do what another poster suggested..have the GMs in black and your FH in white. Good luck!

You can have the girls in pink and put the boys in light gray or any other color that would look good against pink...They really don't have to match...

In my sister's wedding the BMs wore purple and the men's party were in a dark silvery plaitinum color. It looked very nice.

you can have them wear silver is beige ties and vests

silver would be better

or how about ties that are silver and pink so it wont be so pink for the boys

So is even a pink tie out of the question? I saw some pics where the guys wore black tuxes and shirts and pink ties and I think it looked hot. Thats the look we're going for except with turquoise.

I comepletely agree. My BP is wearing black tuxes and shirts and lilac ties, i love that look as well. Ev maybe you can get them to wear 'pale' pink ties

I dont think they have to match. You can always put themin a light silver, or have them wear pink ties instead of the whole pink thing
