do you guys think pink and choc brown and ok colors for the summer? July wedding? i would use mostly pink, and a hit of brown here and there.the flowers im thinking of pink and white.
my parents are saying brown is for the fall =( so now they have me second guessing, although FH finally agrees with me on those colors.

Brown is the new 'black' when it comes to wedding colors...traditionally brown is associated with the fall, because the leaves change colors etc...however lately brown has been paired with light and summery colors like blue and pink which balances it out. I understand what they are saying, but since youre pairing it with pink, in my opinion brown and pink for a summer wedding is fine.

I love pink brown and white together! I deff. think you can use this scheme in the summer, esp. since you are only using a hint of brown.

i'm using pink and brown too!
i think the colors will be perfect for the summer, especially since pink will be your main color. a lot of ppl use brown in summer weddings.

I am using brown with pink accents in the beginning of Sept (so sort of summer) and I think it is fine.

Times have changed and people don't really go with tradition anymore. It's more chic and trendy and people are not stuck on what is and what is not. I think it's fine for the summer.

It's different now a days, brown is being paired with summer colors and they look great together... i say go for it. My parents cant believe we are seeing each other before the ceremony.. times are changing and things are not the way they were when our parents got married.

I'd say stick to what you like. Who cares what other people think. I'm doing red, ivory and just a hint of gold. Most people would say that's more for the winter or around the holidays but I love it!

i'm doing pink and chocolate brown.. but it's in sept... (atleast i hope so) you can do whatever you want.... i would still do it in the spring or summer.. lol

i agree with what everyones been saying so far, brown and pink would look good any time of the year! im having a summer wedding as well (august) and was planning on using those colors till fh shot that idea down. i would go ahead and use them since its what you really want

Those rules are long gone - brown is now an accent color for everything. My FSIL got married in late June and her colors were brown and pink. I love those colors together - my e-party is going to be pink and brown so I say stick to your gut on this one

Pink and brown are great colors! I'm doing dark purple in July and people tell me I should pick a lighter color for summer. It's my wedding, I'll do what I want. Whatever colors you choose, your wedding will be beautiful!
