my eye was itching me.....took my contacts out and wore glasses.....
now, my eyelid is really red.....and still itchy.....
how do you know if you have it?!

Yup, you would usually have gross discharge coming out of your eye. My eyes were REALLY red the other day but its just allergies.

not to be gross, but I had extra eye goobers (whatever they are called) this morning in the corners of my eye.......u know, the ones when you wake up?? my right eye (which is the one thats bothering me) had like a lot more than usual?

that could be allergies still. Maybe get a bottle of Visine for allergies and see if that works? If not, def head to the eye dr and dont wear your contacts until u figure out what it is.

its usually not the eylid, where you would normally get eye gook, its like 5 times the amount and crusty and nasty and if you wake up and could hardly open it, you got pink eye. and yeah your eye would be super pink inside but even if you werent rubbing it for a while

eww yeah shes right- when I had it last the goop got so bad during the night that it basically glued my eyelid shut.
They sell OTC pick eye drops but I dont think they work as well as the Rx. If your eye itself turns pink, I'd go to the doctor.

I hate to tell you sweetie but coming from a Mommy it def sounds like you have pink eye. Get to a doctor ASAP and make sure you are washing your hands ALOT, wipe down everything a good cleaner like clorox and DO NOT, I REPEAT NO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE!! Feel better

if there is a lot of goop in your eye and the whites of your eyes are discolored are good signs... but if your eyelid is irritated it might be from your contacts... that happened to me... i had all these little bumps on my eyelids

sounds like it can be allergies, that happened to me when i was in aruba a few weeks ago and last year i had alot of problems with that. take out your contats if you can and clean them good. Zrytec started making allergy eye drops that are much less $$ than the Rx patanol the dr would give you. just make sure you wait atleast 15 minutes before putting contacts in after using drops!

if its been like that for more then a couple of days then go to the doctor... also make sure you throw out the CL's you were wearing if you havent already...
