So my FH goes to pay the rent today and my landlord of 10 years tells him that he is raising our rent. We have to pay 100 more starting next month.. This is the first time he raised us in 10 years. I cant complain but we have a wedding to pay for..

Don;t you have to sign another lease agreement or something if the rent goes up? Maybe you could negotiate with him to raise the rent after the wedding?

We dont have a lease.. My parents got me and FH this apartment 10 years ago. The owner was my moms good friend. They ended up selling the house and the new owner took over and never wanted a lease and neither did we because we didn't know how long we were going to stay. I will now be paying $1500. It is a 2 family house. I have a duplex apartment. Three bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, living room, dining room, backyard and driveway
My FH is not worried (AS ALWAYS). He tells me so what It's only $100. Just pay it...

from a legal standpoint, ask for a lease, or have one prepared and ask them to sign it after they have it looked over. it is your legal right as a tenant to have a lease and his as a landlord to protect the both of you. without one, either of you are potentially screwed big time.
